This year, one of the sponsors of the International Piano Competition Memorijal Jurica Murai and Murai Grand Prix is the Sinj Summer Music School, which will award one of the participants of the Competition with a seminar in Sinj.
The main goal of the Summer Music School is to bring together as many young musicians of all ages as possible and offer them the opportunity to work with eminent professors. Famous professors participate in the work of Sinj Summer School, offering a variety of professional approaches and educational methods. The Summer Music School is held in Sinj. Classes are held in the morning and early afternoon at several locations in the heart of the city (Alkarski dvori, Sikirica Gallery, Galiotović Gallery, James Gotovac Primary School, Youth Center). Evenings are reserved for joint music and sports activities and socializing. After the opening of the first and the second week of the Summer Music School, there will be a professor’s concerts, while at the end of each week there will be concerts of students.
The value of summer schools like this is that in a relaxed atmosphere and stimulating environment, students respond to the musical stimulus with ease. With motivation and quality education, students are able to express themselves musically and acquire new technical and artistic skills.
