Lidija Ljubičić
Lidija Ljubičić began playing the flute at the age of twelve with teacher Nevenka Preiss. Her “connection” with the flute led her to the Music Academy in Zagreb, where she graduated in the class of Professor Vesna Košir and received her master’s degree in the class of Assoc. Professor Renata Penezić.
As a soloist, she performed many times with the orchestra during her studies under the direction of conductor Zlatan Srzić, and with the Zagreb Philharmonic under the direction of maestro Pavle Dešpalj and several times with the Zagreb Soloists. In addition to a number of first prizes at national music competitions, Lidija is the winner of the “Darko Lukić” Award at the 36th Young Music Artists Forum, the Rector’s Award and the City of Samobor Award for the best performance of a composition by a Croatian composer at the 29th Samobor Music Autumns.
She has improved her skills at numerous master classes with famous flutists and pedagogues (Jaroslav Lewitzki, Pierre-Yves Artaud, Aleš Kacjan, Ljubiša Jovanović, Roberto Ghiani, Furgh Karimi, Luisa Sello, Giorgio Marccosi and others).
In addition to numerous performances and collaborations with many musicians, of which the long-standing collaboration with pianist Ivan Batoš stands out, Lidija often participates in artistic projects connecting music and other performing arts. She also began her research in the field of sound therapy and graduated from the Peter Hess Academy for Gong Practitioners and Sound Massage Practitioners.
Since 2012, she has been a member of the Zagreb Flute Ensemble under the direction of Renata Penezić, with whom she regularly performs in Croatia and abroad.
Lidija, as a professor mentor, teaches flute at the Fran Lhotka Music School in Sisak, and has a number of successful students who achieve enviable results in Croatia and abroad.
