Dario Golčić

Dario Golčić was born in Zagreb, where he studied oboe with Professor Branko Mihanović in elementary and secondary music schools. He continued his oboe studies with Professors Heinz Holliger, Omar Zoboli and Christian Schmitt and his postgraduate studies with Professor Vincent Gay-Balmaz. He has won several awards at oboe competitions in Croatia and abroad.
He has performed as a soloist with many renowned orchestras, such as the Freiburg and Heidelberg Chamber Orchestras, the Neues Orchester Basel, the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the HRT Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Soloists, the Cantus Ensemble, the Zadar Chamber Orchestra, the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra and the Croatian Chamber Orchestra. He is also active in the field of chamber music as a member of the Zagreb Wind Trio, and in 2013, with the Sebastian String Quartet, he premiered Tomislav Uhlik’s Four Spring Days.
Since 2006, he has been an assistant professor of oboe at the Bisyoc International Orchestral School in Great Britain and a professor of oboe at the Academy of Music in Zagreb.
