Danijela Klarić Mimica
The flutist Danijela Klarić Mimica finished her primary and secondary education at music schools in Omiš and Split in the class of Dani Bošniak. She graduated at the Zagreb Music Academy in June 2007 with excellent results in the class of professor Marina Novak, holding a concert at the Croatian Music Institute as one of the most successful students of her generation. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in 2010 in the class of professor Matej Zupan with honours.
She regularly holds concerts throughout Croatia and abroad (Slovenia, Austria, Greece). She has won numerous awards at state competitions during her education (1998, 2000, 2002 and 2006) and performs as a chamber musician (duo flute harp, flute guitar). She was also taught by numerous eminent flautists in Croatia and abroad. She successfully passed the international audition for 2nd flute in February 2009 in the orchestra of the Zagreb Philharmonic and was their member for 2 years. She regularly collaborates with the Croatian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and the Croatian Chamber Orchestra. Since November 2012, she has been a member of the Zagreb Flute Ensemble under the direction of professor Renata Penezić, with whom she already had a number of successful concerts in Croatia, Spain, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia. She is currently employed at the Elly Bašić Music School in Zagreb. As a teacher, she achieved remarkable results with her gifted students at regional and national music competitions.
