Natalia Jarz\u0105bek graduated with a great distinction from the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krak\u00f3w in the class of Prof. Dr h.c. Barbara \u015awi\u0105tek \u2013 \u017belazna, where she was also a PhD student (2019-2023). She was a student of Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Weimar in the class of Prof. Wally Hase. She also graduated from the Jagiellonian University with master degree in mathematics. Currently she is currently a principal flutist of the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra and an orchestral excerpts teacher at The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Since 2022 Natalia is an Artist of Miyazawa Flutes.<\/p>\n

The topic of her research is the problem of circular breathing in performing wind instruments. As a specialist in this field she inspires many contemporaries composers who they dedicated numerous works to her. Also she is the author \u2014 together with her teacher, prof. Barbara of the book Infinity. Circular Breathing and the course book Infinity with exercises and pieces to practice this technique, released in December 2020. The CD Infinity – with pieces requiring the use of circular breathing – was recorded with the Belgian pianist Emmy Wils at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center in Lus\u0142awice and released by DUX in September 2019.<\/p>\n

Her abilities are highly regarded on international competitions. She received many prizes, scholarships and awards appreciating her achievements. Natalia performed and was teaching at festivals such as: British Flute Society \u2019s Flutastique! Festival, the 2017 Adams Flute Festival, the Festival Universitario de Flauta Transversa in Me\u0301xico, the Alexander Arutiunian International Wind Festival, the 31st International Festival of Krakow Composers, Wawel o Zmierzchu Festival and the Music Festival in \u0141an\u0301cut. She has worked closely with numerous symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, performing in renowned venues around the world.<\/p>\n

Since 2017, Natalia has also been a flutist of the Cracow Golden Quintet, with whom she won the 2nd prize at The Stanislaw Moniuszko International Polish Music Competition in Rzesz\u00f3w, 2019. The ensemble recorded a CD Polish Wind Quintets, nominated to the Fryderyk 2020 Award. In December 2023, the album \u201cPolish Wind Quintets vol. 2\u201d was released \u2013 the second disc in a series promoting the music of Polish composers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
