Principal flute of the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Foundation Cagliaritano was born in 1961.<\/p>\n

He graduated from \u201cG.M. Dettori\u201d, high school specializing in classical studies, in Cagliari in 1980, and began his studies at the Conservatory in his home town, in the class of Salvatore Saddi. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Flute in 1984.<\/p>\n

He continued his studies with Raymond Guiot at the H. Berlioz Conservatoire in Paris, where he was awarded the premier prix de la ville de Paris in 1986, and with Maxence Larrieu at the Conservatoire de Geneve (premier prix de virtuosit\u00e9 1988, premier nomm\u00e9).<\/p>\n

He participated in numerous masterclasses held by Alain Marion and Robert Dick for flute and by Bruno Canino and Maurice Bourgue for chamber music.<\/p>\n

For many years he has been part of the Ensemble Spaziomusica of Cagliari, which is particularly engaged in performing contemporary music.<\/p>\n

While holding the position of principal flute of the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari, he has also collaborated with: ORT Orchestra of Tuscany (Florence), the Symphony Orchestra of Sanremo, Ensemble Instrumental d\u2019Ile de France (Paris), Musical Afternoons in Milan, the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra (Palermo), the Orchestra of the Teatro Nazionale dell’Opera Roma, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin.<\/p>\n

As part of the Orchestra of the Cagliaritana Foundation he has had the opportunity to play under the direction of conductors such as: G\u00e9rard Korsten, Lorin Maazel, Carlo Maria Giulini, Pinchas Steinberg, Christopher Hogwood, Roberto Abbado, Guennadi Rozhdestvensky, Raphael Fr\u00fchbeck de Burgos, Emmanuel Krivine, Georges Pretre, Ivan Fischer, George Benjamin, Frans Bruggen, Ton Koopman, Trevor Pinnock, Peter Schreier, Luciano Berio, Serge Baudo and others.<\/p>\n

He has taught at the Conservatories of Cagliari, Sassari, Reggio Calabria and Palermo.<\/p>\n

From 1996 to 2001 he was assistant professor to Aur\u00e8le Nicolet at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana.<\/p>\n

From 2001 to 2006 he was a lecturer, alongside Nicolet, at the Summer Academy of Hvar (Croatia).<\/p>\n

He is currently a professor of advanced studies at the Travesera Siglo XXI Flute Academy in Madrid. He is regularly invited to hold flute masterclasses in Italy and abroad (Spain, Croatia, France, Romania, Poland).<\/p>\n

He is a lecturer at “Bosa Antica”  – advanced summer courses, as well as at the \u201cCursos de Musica Ciudad de Segovia\u201d and at the \u201cNon solo Musica\u201d Academy (Montespertoli \u2013 FI). He has been a jury member at national and international competitions, and has been invited as an expert to Bachelor’s and Master’s final exams at the Conservatories of Strasbourg, Neuch\u00e2tel and Geneva.<\/p>\n

He is a founding member of the Hoffmansthal Ensemble and artistic co-director of \u201cDo you like Richard Strauss?\u201d Festival, in collaboration with the Richard Strauss Institute in Garmisch Partenkirchen. He is regularly invited as soloist and speaker at prestigious international flute conventions.<\/p>\n

He is a testimonial of the Guo grenaditte flute, which is the result of the most advanced research in the field of organology of the instrument.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
